Itinerary

  • Arrive at Paro International Airport. Relax and enjoy the stunning Himalayan views. Short evening walk in Paro town, optional visit to Rinpung Dzong.

  • Explore Paro Dzong and the National Museum of Bhutan. Visit Kyichu Lhakhang, one of Bhutan’s oldest temples. Stroll through local markets and enjoy traditional Bhutanese cuisine.

  • Early morning hike to the famous Tiger’s Nest Monastery perched on a cliff. Enjoy panoramic views of the Paro valley. Return to Paro for a relaxed evening.

  • Drive to Thimphu (1.5–2 hours). Visit Buddha Dordenma, Tashichho Dzong, and Memorial Chorten. Evening stroll in Thimphu town and optional shopping at Craft Bazaar.

  • Explore Folk Heritage Museum and Textile Museum. Visit School of Arts & Crafts for Bhutanese handicrafts. Relax in local cafes or enjoy a scenic walk around Thimphu.

  • Scenic drive to Punakha via Dochu La Pass (108 chortens). Visit Punakha Dzong, the “Palace of Great Happiness”. Optional visit to Chimi Lhakhang (Fertility Temple).

  • Walk along Punakha Suspension Bridge. Short hike in Punakha Valley with scenic views. Optional: river rafting in Mo Chhu (seasonal).

  • Drive to Phobjikha Valley, a glacial valley of rare black-necked cranes (Nov–Feb). Visit Gangtey Monastery. Enjoy valley walks and serene landscapes.

  • Drive back to Thimphu. Leisure day for shopping, cafes, or nature walks. Optional: meditation or spa session.

  • Early drive to Bumthang Valley (long scenic drive through mountains). Explore Jakar Dzong and Jambay Lhakhang. Evening walk in Bumthang town.
